Brave Royals FC capped off their GEDFA Division 3 Middle League campaign with a resounding 4-1 victory over Dawtex FC on Sunday, June 16th, 2024. Despite their impressive display, the Royals secured second place in the group, falling short of the coveted promotion spot to Division 2.
The match, played at the Bwoodinn Sports Complex at 3:00 PM, saw the Royals take charge early on. ZULABIB AHMED opened the scoring with a powerful free kick, followed by a well-crafted team goal that scored by MUBARAK MOHAMMED which doubled their lead within the first 14 minutes.
Dawtex FC refused to surrender, pulling one back through a strong header just eight minutes later. However, In the second half, Brave Royals remained undeterred. A penalty converted by Henry Opoku extended their lead to 3-1.
The second half also saw SHERIFF MASAWUDU put the icing on the cake for the Royals. He showcased his finishing skills with a solo effort, securing the final score at 4-1.
While promotion ultimately eluded them, Brave Royals deserve immense credit for their outstanding performance throughout the season.
